Aid Palestine now
The technical solutions that are being worked on by the students of Justice and Relief are centered around four problem areas: Education, Electricity, Clean water and Prosthetics. The solutions are designed to match the needs and demands of the Palestinian people that have been deprived of the basic human needs since the start of the invasion of Palestine.

The organization
Justice and Relief is an independent organization formed by students who are sick of being powerless within institutions that foster injustice. That is why the interdisciplinary team of technical bachelor and master students joins forces to apply their organizational and technical skills to found Justice and Relief;
Aren’t we as students taught to work towards a better future for mankind? We are privileged to be engineering students in a safe environment, which makes us capable of spending our time on helping people in need with our engineering and organisational knowledge. Our goal is to come up with every engineering solution in our power to make life better for people in Gaza.
Projects
The technical solutions bring forth both technical and organizational challenges of development and deployment over three time spans: short term, medium term and long term.
We want to help people in Gaza with engineering solutions on three horizons. The first horizon is to make manuals and spread the manuals in Gaza in which is explained how to design the desired product with resources from the region. The second horizon is to empower locals, and to assist them in education and what is needed to develop their own relief. The third horizon is to send the designed products to the region,Â
Background
The situation in Gaza is severe, with extensive damage and destruction following Israel's vengeful actions for the Hamas attacks on October 7. Here are some of the key points to draw a picture of current Palestine:
Widespread Damage and Destruction: More than half of Gaza's buildings have been damaged or destroyed. Detailed satellite imagery shows significant devastation, particularly intensifying in southern and central Gaza since early December 2023. Khan Younis has been heavily impacted by the bombardment.

Displacement and Humanitarian Crisis: Approximately 1.7 million people, which is over 80% of Gaza's population, are displaced. Many have moved to the southern end of the strip, with tent cities emerging to accommodate the thousands left homeless. Residential areas, shopping streets, universities, and farmlands have been severely affected, leading to a humanitarian crisis.

Targeting and Damage Assessment: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) state that their operations target Hamas fighters and infrastructure. However, satellite data analysis shows that between 144,000 and 175,000 buildings across Gaza have been damaged or destroyed. This represents 50% to 61% of the buildings in Gaza, revealing the extensive scale of destruction.
This situation highlights the severe impact on Gaza's infrastructure and population, leading to massive displacement and a growing humanitarian crisis.
