Since the start of our campaign, you have contributed funds equivalent to more than 15 prosthetics. This is an amazing achievement, and we are deeply grateful. Your support has helped us continue in uncertain times.

As Justice and Relief, we want to share an important update with the amputees in Gaza, our donors, and everyone who has helped spread our message.

For every order intended for Gaza, we check whether the supply line is still functional. Since donations increased in December, we have held back on sending the donated money to our supplier. We were waiting for a moment when we felt certain enough that the prosthetics would reach Gazans.

And that moment did not come.

Since 30 December 2025, a new Israeli regulation has banned 37 international NGOs from operating in Gaza and the West Bank. It also gives Israeli authorities broad discretionary power to deny status to INGOs.

Our supply chain has also been blocked due to this ban. Therefore, we have not been able to get prosthetics into Gaza since the ban took place.

This means two things:

• We are no longer able to get prosthetics into Gaza at this moment.
• We still have the donated funds, so there is still solution space.

We will do everything within our power to make sure that the donations still lead to the correct prosthetics reaching Gazans.

You may wonder why we did not close the donations earlier. This was because our supplier was still committed to finding a solution in Gaza, and we shared that hope.

Recently, our supplier has pivoted to fitting prosthetics for Gazan and Sudanese amputees in Egypt. This means that we also have to pivot our operations.

Until we find a solution for the past donations, new donations will go towards the prosthetic initiative in Egypt. These are the same prosthetics, with the same easily moldable sockets, also fitted for Gazans. For the time being, however, they will be fitted in Egypt instead of Gaza.
